COUNTRY BOY, CITY SLICKER
©Emmets, Lisa Aschmann
It was my first county fair
We danced a waltz in the cool night air
Never thought the man of my dreams
Would be wearin’ cowboy boots and jeans
CHORUS: He’s a country boy, I’m a city slicker
I like the blues, he’s a bluegrass picker
I drink Perrier, he’d rather have liquor
But I love that country boy and he loves this city slicker
Grits and gravy are his cup of tea
The theater and sushi really suit me
He rides a horse, I ride the train
All my friends say I’m insane
CHORUS
BRIDGE:
It’s love that holds us together, love that wins my heart
Doesn’t really matter whether he’s up on modern art
CHORUS
